Sant'Albano, ITS FAIR AND ZABAGLIONE ... ... ..


Fair Sant'Albano ago, every year, a corollary to the feast of the patron saint in 1800 celebrated the 20th day of June each year and now the second Sunday of March.
Until the forties of last century, the exhibition saw the display and sale and purchase of cattle, pigs and goats.
Thereafter, and until the years immediately preceding the Second World War, the fair was affected by the presence of only sheep and pigs.
From 1950 onwards, the trade fair tradition was abandoned and were then kept the Feast of the Patron Saint from 1963 onwards, characterized by delivery of certificates of merit to students and citizens deserve.
Fair Saint Albans, real, two thousand years was taken up in the review of which is locally produced farm and craft. The same
fiera conobbe poi anche un significativo risvolto storico con la “Sagra dello Zabaglione” che, secondo un’antica leggenda , venne confezionato per la prima volta in Torino dall’Abate di Baylonne con le caratteristiche uova delle galline santalbanesi.
Attualmente la festa e la fiera vivono anche su manifestazioni collaterali quali la “Cena del Bollito” il “ Pranzo di Sant’Albano” , la consegna dei premi di benemerenza da parte del Comune ed un colorito mercatino che rendono piacevole visitare il piccolo centro .
Il tutto Domenica 13 marzo, per gustare una profumata tazza di zabaglione e approfittare magari per qualche utile acquisto.
